Yes! MyPass Vault does not connect to any remote server, cloud API, or third-party database. All passwords, 2FA tokens, and diary logs are encrypted locally on your physical hardware using AES-256 bit encryption.
The RFC 6238 TOTP algorithm uses the standard mathematical combination of your secret key and the local system clock timestamp. Because time is calculated locally by your CPU, no internet or cellular network connection is needed.
When you delete a password or diary note, it is moved to the centralized Trash bin instead of being permanently lost immediately. You can restore it at any time. Any item remaining in Trash for over 30 days is automatically purged permanently.
In settings, you can configure a secondary Decoy MPIN. If someone physically forces you to unlock your vault, entering the Decoy PIN opens an empty fake vault, ensuring your real confidential passwords remain completely invisible and protected.
You can export your database anytime into a password-protected .mypass file from Settings. You can transfer this encrypted file via USB, local Wi-Fi, or pendrive and import it into either the Windows Desktop app or Android app.
